This work aims to share the experienced journey of the Cultural Evolution project. This group emerged during the pandemic with the purpose of investigating the organizational culture of the IIPC, collecting knowledge and perceptions from the point of view of the volunteers, in order to, from the analysis of this information, help in the co-creation of values and initiatives aligned with the desired culture. Initially, the context of the project’s emergence is presented, amid the dissatisfaction of some volunteers with the digital transformation and, on the other hand, the demands for greater autonomy to experiment, for example, with new technologies and on-line volunteering modalities, with rearrangements in the organizational structure. Next, the cultural research stages of the Institute are discussed, as well as the data already collected by the group, the challenges that have arisen, as well as the results obtained during the activities of listening and dialog with the volunteers. Finally, some experiences and lessons learned by the team during the development of the work are shared, and some examples of cultural changes already perceived within volunteering are brought forward.
