Abstract

This article aims to present the biographical analysis of Ginko Ogino (1851-1913) from the consciential paradigm point of view, according to the Biografology. Ginko was the first medical woman authorized to practice Western medicine in Japan; an example of inter-assistantiality, courage, perseverance, self-improvement and determination. To contextualize the evolutionary process of this consciousness, significant events of her life and outstanding personalities are presented chronologically as a brief sociogram. Then, consciential attributes are discussed and, finally, the results already achieved by other researchers regarding the interassistencial benefits obtained with the study of biographies are reaffirmed.
